A stretch of the Isle of Man TT course has closed for tree felling with further works set to take place in the coming months.
The A3 Ramsey to Castletown Road, between Ballig and Cronk Y Voddy crossroads is closed until 16:00 GMT.
The Department of Infrastructure (DoI) said an inspection on Thursday found that a damaged roadside tree on the Glen Helen side of Ballig Bridge needed to be felled for safety reasons.
People have been warned to expect some delays in the area of Ballig, and told bus services would be diverted.
School buses are to run as scheduled and homes to the north of Sarah’s Cottage can be accessed via Cronk Y Voddy, while properties between Sarah’s Cottage and Ballig can be accessed via Ballig.
Several dead ash trees, near Sarah’s Cottage would also be felled during this period, the DoI said which would reduce further disruption.
Only the most vulnerable trees would be removed and further works are aexpected to take place in the coming months, the DoI said.
