I know the importance of a perfect foundation match; I am a professional makeup artist, and I always focus on getting clients’ skin to look as natural and radiant as possible. I took the IL Makiage foundation quiz to see if they could match me via their precise technology and was quite impressed with how thorough it was. All you need to do is go to their website, choose the formula you’re interested in, and answer a series of questions addressing your skin type, the coverage you’re looking for, the finish, and your skin tone and undertone. Once completed, the brand will send you all the details on your product match.
Once I submitted my information, they sent me the shade they deemed best for me, and it was, in fact, a perfect match, which I found to be most impressive. Woke Up Like This Flawless Base Foundation

This foundation glides on like velvet and blends so easily that it’s suitable for anyone who is looking for buildable coverage. I loved the texture and feel of this foundation as it wasn’t heavy or caky on my skin. I wear foundation at least six days per week and always prefer a weightless feel. I have combination skin, so while the formula originally had more of a matte finish, it looked dewier throughout the day as my skin produced more oil. I recommend applying and blending this foundation with a brush, as it makes it much easier to blend out the product and create an even complexion.
F*ck I’m Flawless Multi-Use Perfection Concealer

I instantly noticed how thin this concealer was. It can easily be layered or blended to provide coverage without looking cakey or creasing. I wear concealer under my eyes and around my nose to conceal redness and capillaries. I used a concealer brush to blend this formula, adding extra layers to specific areas where I wanted more coverage. The lovely texture covered my areas of concern and stayed on my skin without sliding off during the day.

No Filter Poreless Base Smoothing Primer

More often than not, I end up skipping makeup primer as it tends to pill with my makeup. I was skeptical that this product would cause a similar result, but much to my surprise, it settled into my skin and did not interfere with the rest of my makeup—not a flake in sight! I was impressed by how light the product feels and noticed an immediate difference in the appearance of my pore size. I applied this in my t-zone before foundation, giving it a few minutes to settle in before moving on to the rest of my makeup.
Mineral Baked Bronzer

When it comes to bronzer, I normally opt for cream formulas. That being said, I like the finish of this mineral powder and how easily it blended on my skin without looking dry or showing visible lines. A little goes a long way with this product, so you’ll want to tap your brush into the compact and then lightly tap it on the edge of your sink to rid the brush of any excess powder. I swept the brush across my forehead, down my cheek, and along my jawline in the shape of a three. An important callout is that this formula didn’t oxidize through the day as some bronzers tend to do. It looked very natural and gave me the sun-kissed complexion I aim for year-round.
Mineral Baked Blush

I never shy away from wearing blush, and this powder formula had my ideal pigment payoff. It took me a few times to get used to the application, but once I got the hang of it, I loved wearing it. I used a blush brush to start blending out the product on the apples of my cheeks. Then, I moved the brush upwards to create a lifting effect. This formula wore throughout the day and was still giving me great color at the end without any major issues.

Mineral Baked Highlighter

My favorite part about this highlighter was how the formula glides onto the skin like silk. You only need the tiniest amount to create a radiant glow on the cheeks or anywhere else you want to apply it to the face. I recommend using a smaller brush to skillfully sweep across the cheekbones, under the brow, and even the tip of the nose. You likely only need to blend out one swipe of this product. If you apply any more, it will start to look too noticeable—a little certainly goes a long way.
Rave Lip Crayon Super Sheer Lip Color

Think of this as the perfect lipstick and gloss hybrid. The creamy texture glides on smoothly and has a high-shine finish. It felt like a hydrating balm during application and didn’t dry out my lips at any point while wearing this product. The pointed tip also allows for definition, as if you were also using a lipliner to shape. It wore well on its own. When I wanted a little glossier of a finish, I’d apply a lip gloss on top.

Lip Service High Shine Lip Glaze

If you love lipgloss but don’t want a sticky residue, this is the perfect product to give you that high-shine look without the tacky feeling. I wore this on top of the Rave Lip Crayon to give it more of a shine and tested it out with some other lipstick formulas to see how well it would hold up. It was quite comfortable on my lips to the point where I forgot I was even wearing it, which is a great thing!
