What to Consider When Shopping for Hair Products on Amazon

• Read reviews carefully: As in, read between the lines. Does the review sound like a person’s actual experience using the product, or a recitation of whatever’s written on the box? Also, be sure to read the bad reviews. There’s a lot you can learn from someone’s mishap. As gratuitous as they are, Amazon reviews are one of the best sources of unabashed honesty we have, but you need to know what to take seriously and what to brush off, especially when they become a soapbox for misinformation.
• Don’t give into FOMO: It happens to the best of us. We see a product whose popularity skyrockets out of nowhere and with the reviews to back it up, so naturally, we need to have it. But what if it’s not really something you’ll use? When hard-to-get “it” products become within reach, it can be difficult to exercise restraint, so if you feel pressured to add a certain product to your shelf out of FOMO, take a second before you click the “Buy” button.
