Snif Makes My Signature Scent, But Its Newest Launch Seriously Rivals It

Snif does it again.

As someone who tests beauty products for a living, I find it incredibly rare for a product to become a mainstay in my everyday routine—especially a fragrance. I think of perfume like lipstick; the one I select that day depends entirely on my mood, outfit, or season. But that changed when I got my hands on Snif’s Sweet Ash a few years back.

Sure, I still switch it up a couple of days a week, but when I want to feel most like myself, Sweet Ash is what I reach for. It’s cozy and comforting, thanks to notes of vanilla bean, tonka bean, and fir balsam, with the perfect dose of freshness from bergamot and white moss. Some might liken it to a winter scent, but this ambery gem is my signature scent year-round.

Sweet Ash was my introduction to Snif, but my love for the brand only started there. I’ve since come to adore how well it does unique fragrances—both perfumes and candles—in a fun, approachable fashion. It’s launched limited-edition fragrance drops that smell like tennis balls, croissants, and farm-fresh honey; each smelled incredible. I’ve collected a handful of favorites over the years, even walking into a friend’s apartment to find her burning the Snif candle she complimented me on when she was over at my place for wine night. Between the one-of-a-kind fragrances, unique packaging (the perfume caps are magnetic, which I love), and affordability (fine fragrances are $65), there’s genuinely nothing I dislike about the brand. But despite loving many Snif fragrances, I always return to good ‘ole Sweet Ash daily…until recently.

Meet Me, Snif’s new skin scent. Top notes of peach and plum offer a fresh and floral opening, while orris, musks, and sandalwood give it a sensual twist. Like all skin scents, it enhances the natural aroma of your skin, meaning it smells a little bit different on everyone. On me, this fragrance is super musky, with a hint of fruitiness that gently fades throughout the day.

This bright, musky scent has quickly become my new go-to—it feels like it morphs to fit the occasion. It’s cozy for a day of lounging at home, fresh for a day at the office, and a bit sexy for a night out. I absolutely love it, and during a conversation about our favorite new products, I discovered my colleagues love it, too.

“Snif’s Me fragrance is everything I could ever ask for in a scent,” says associate editor Caitlyn Martyn. “It starts off fruity, but after lingering on the skin, it gives off a musky, lived-in smell. During my first wear, my boyfriend commented on it, saying that this is his favorite scent of mine at the moment.”

Associate director Ally Hirschlag agrees, saying she loved it from the first sniff (pun intended). “I thought it might be too juicy because of the plum and peach skin top notes, but it unfolds into this gorgeous, complex, woodsy scent that’s delicate yet long-lasting. While it’s unlike any fragrance I’ve ever used, it somehow complements me perfectly—thanks to the skin scent formula. That scent-shifting ability makes it great for any gender and any time of day (or year), although I think the musk accents make it ideal for date nights.”

Copy editor Cher Checchio says Snif Me is her new favorite fragrance as well. “I knew I’d be a fan of this scent because of its sandalwood notes, but it’s become my go-to perfume after I kept getting compliments while wearing it out on New Year’s Eve.”
