For the brand’s latest Backstage collection, Dior Beauty is delivering an array of high-performing and easy-to-use products that’ll further initiate the masses in the wonders of its behind-the-scenes makeup techniques. One of these products is Rosy Glow Stick: a first-of-its-kind blush stick that launches Thursday, May 22. Complete with a dewy finish, it adapts to the pH of the wearer’s skin for a custom color.

The Inspiration

“When models pass through the backstage of a show or shooting, they are prepped, made up or groomed by experts to be camera ready,” explained Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, in a press release. “This backstage expertise is what we bring in our Dior Backstage line. Easy to handle and easy to wear products, which make self-application as effortless and effective as if you’ve been made up by a pro.”

While a pro makeup artist is trained to deliver their client an ideal blush shade and finish every time (even if they have to blend it up themselves), Rosy Glow Stick can give you the same personalized attention. Each cool-pink or warm-coral toned stick features technology that reacts to the pH level of your skin to help customize the color—the same technology featured in the brand’s beloved Rosy Glow powder blush.

The shade range includes the iconic 001 Pink and more cool-toned choices: the subtle pink 012 Rosewood, rich deep plum 006 Berry, and intense lilac-with-a-hint-of-lavender 063 Pink Lilac. Warm-toned selections include bright red 015 Cherry, shimmering golden pink 077 Candy, and classic nude beige 103 Toffee. 

The Formula

Rosy Glow Stick feature a weightless, cherry oil-infused formula that can be blended with your fingertips or a brush. Long-wearing and incredibly dewy once applied, it reflects the light perfectly “for elevated plump-looking cheekbones” and a seamless finish.

The Review

“I’m not going to lie, I was a little scared of this blush at first. I love a baby pink, but the shade 011 Pink is almost like a florescent pastel in the packaging. However, the second I dotted it onto my cheeks, I knew I was in for something special. This color is so so pretty, and blends out into a natural looking flush—it really gives you a rosy glow. It doesn’t really look like I’m wearing makeup, more like I just came in from the cold or went for a brisk walk.
