Unsurprisingly, topping the list of nominees is Paul Thomas Anderson\u2019s One Battle After Another<\/em>, with nine nods, closely followed by Joachim Trier\u2019s Sentimental Value<\/em> with eight, Ryan Coogler\u2019s Sinners<\/em> with seven, and Chlo\u00e9 Zhao\u2019s Hamnet<\/em> with six. On the TV front, meanwhile, The White Lotus<\/em> scored six, with Adolescence<\/em> on its tail with five.<\/p>\n

While best drama will likely go to either Hamnet<\/em> or Sinners<\/em>, One Battle After Another<\/em> should take the best musical or comedy prize. In best director, Paul Thomas Anderson feels like a lock, as does Hamnet<\/em>\u2019s Jessie Buckley in best actress in a drama. The other main categories feel a little more up in the air: it\u2019s likely that Marty Supreme<\/em>\u2019s Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet will take home his first Globe, for best actor in a musical or comedy, though Blue Moon<\/em>\u2019s Ethan Hawke shouldn\u2019t be underestimated in that race; The Secret Agent<\/em>\u2019s Wagner Moura could take best actor in a drama; and The Testament of Ann Lee<\/em>\u2019s Amanda Seyfried has a clear shot at best actress in a musical or comedy.
