    Just as you can spot a designer logo in public or a pimple patch on a celebrity’s Instagram, the Summer Fridays “Jet Lag Blue” is hard to miss. The viral collection hosts some of the brand’s most popular items, and for good reason\u2014they deliver unbeatable hydration. So when I received a powder blue invitation to celebrate the brand’s latest innovation in Los Angeles, I knew I was in for a treat.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    After all, the Jet Lag collection is what pulled me into the world of Summer Fridays from the very start. The original Jet Lag Mask comes with me everywhere\u2014I\u2019m not exaggerating when I say I stash a tube in every travel bag. Before it was National Eczema Association-approved, I recognized the mask’s ability to calm my skin (especially during flare-ups) and lock in moisture. Needless to say, I’m a fan\u2014so any time the brand expands the Jet Lag family, it catches my attention.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    Over the past few days, I was lucky enough to be one of the first to put the new Jet Lag Eye Patches to the test. Spoiler: They’re just as good as the predecessors. Below, learn the inspiration behind the launch, how co-founders Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland use it in their routines, and my full review. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    The Jet Lag Eye Patches will mark the fifth launch within the best-selling line. But why was this the missing SKU? \u201c<\/strong>The inspiration came from our community\u2019s love for the Jet Lag collection and their need for targeted hydration for the under-eye area,\u201d explain Hewitt and Ireland. \u201cTraveling, long days, and daily stress can leave skin feeling dehydrated and fatigued, so we wanted to create an effortless solution for instantly refreshed, well-rested eyes.\u201d Like the rest of the collection, the patches are formulated with a focus on replenishing moisture in the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Plus, the individual pouches allow consumers to take the skin-loving innovation on the go\u2014a pillar of the brand’s ethos.\n<\/p>\n

    In true Summer Fridays fashion, these are not your average under-eye patches. The chic, powder blue gels were meticulously formulated to meet the Jet Lag standards. \u201cThe patches are made in Korea and designed with a custom shape and mold to perfectly fit the under-eye area, ensuring maximum coverage without slipping,\u201d say Hewitt and Ireland, noting that the gripping design makes them perfect for multitasking. \u201cWe wanted you to immediately see results when using them.”\n<\/p>\n

    Looking through the ingredient list, you will find hyaluronic acid and glycerin, a duo known for hydrating and plumping properties. Other key ingredients include caffeine to help reduce puffiness and peptides to support your skin barrier. Like all of the Jet Lag products, the patches were awarded the National Eczema Association Seal of Acceptance and made without fragrance, making them ideal for those with sensitive skin.\n<\/p>\n

    How to Use It <\/span><\/h2>\n

    Use them like you would any under-eye patch\u2014as an extra prep step before a special occasion, a post-travel treat, or a get-out-of-bed ritual. \u201cI love using them in the morning as part of my makeup prep or when I\u2019m getting ready for an event,” says Hewitt. “They instantly hydrate my under-eye area, creating the perfect base for concealer. They\u2019re also great after long flights or when I have an early morning to refresh and de-puff. I pair it with our Jet Lag Mist and Deep Hydration Serum and then follow up with moisturizer and SPF.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

    Similarly, Ireland has made the newest launch the center of her morning. routine with one simple hack. \u201cI love applying our patches first thing in the morning as part of my early rush to get out the door. I\u2019ll pop them in the fridge the night before and apply them to my under eyes in the morning for an extra cooling effect,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019ll wear the patches out for school drop-offs and take them off just before applying the rest of my skincare and makeup.\u201d No matter when you reach for the Jet Lag Patches, the gentle formula can easily be customized to your unique routine and or skin needs.\n<\/p>\n

    My eczema flare-ups always concentrate around my eyes, leaving my skin dry and cracked. So I am extra vigilant about what under-eye masks I use to avoid any further irritation. That\u2019s why the new Jet Lag Eye Patches completely changed the game for me. During my brief time in Los Angeles, I went through over four packs of patches. The shape hugged my under-eye area firmly\u2014enough for me to run around my hotel room and not have to worry about slippage. After about 10 minutes I removed the blue gels and saw my skin was calm and plump. I tapped in any excess liquid left behind but it absorbed rather quickly. I have never had such a hydrated and bouncy look under my eyes. Anyone who gets eczema around their eyes knows this is a huge<\/em> feat.\n<\/p>\n

    However, the true test was when I applied makeup a few hours later. Because my skin was so moisturized it created the perfect canvas for my concealer. I\u2019m definitely going to reach for these patches ahead of a big event or after travel.
