With the holidays rapidly approaching, this weekend is poised to be filled with shopping by day and cheery cocktail fetes by night. Landing on the perfect outfit to make a chic transition from day to night, however, can be tricky. Spotted out at dinner last night in New York, Kim Kardashian West<\/strong> solved that conundrum in a Maison Martin Margiela bodysuit, Lanvin trench, and Alexander Wang boots, with a nubby, knit sweater skirt to truly elevate the look. Adding a dash of sparkle works for night and we appreciate that Olivia Palermo<\/strong> downplayed the shine from her Milly skirt with a sweater from Piperlime and cute Mary Janes from DVF. However, for those wanting to make a real impact, take a cue from Olivia Munn<\/strong> who has embraced the subtle slit in a midnight ensemble from J. Mendel punctuated by stilettos from CFDA\/Vogue<\/em> Fashion Fund winner Paul Andrew.<\/strong> Though the opening might be too much for day, slip a pair of chic leggings underneath and pair with booties for a quick afternoon-appropriate look.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
