    What a wonder it is\u2014Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s upside-down Christmas Tree sparkles in the foyer of Claridge\u2019s Hotel<\/div>\n<\/figcaption>

    There is nothing more magical in London than Claridge\u2019s Hotel at Christmastime. Well . . . maybe one thing: When Karl Lagerfeld designs the tree in the famous marble hall of this landmark hotel. It\u2019s the eighth year that Claridge\u2019s has invited a creative visionary to interpret the tree in their own way and this year\u2019s certainly didn\u2019t disappoint. Original, upside-down, sparkly, and dazzling, Karl\u2019s tree even had what appeared to be a mound of snow beneath it.<\/p>\n

    To mark the unveiling of Karl\u2019s creation, the Claridge\u2019s team put on a suitably merry bash. Fashion folk and friends of the hotel from all over the city came to celebrate its arrival. Erin O\u2019Connor, Amanda Harlech, Mary Katranzou, Gemma Arteron, Clara Paget, and Elizabeth Saltzman (to name a few) were seen getting into the festive swing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Lobster sandwiches, venison tartare, and snowflake macarons were happily washed down with blackberry mojitos, \u201cChoupette\u201d cocktails, and flowing champagne. Staircases were adorned with fresh wreaths and silver twigs while white roses (Karl\u2019s favorite) were in abundance. No detail was left undone . . . .<\/p>\n

    The evening concluded and we left Claridge\u2019s with a joyful spring in our step, full stomachs, and rosy cheeks. Thanks to Claridge\u2019s and Karl, Christmas felt much closer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
