Miley Cyrus has always been an old soul, incorporating various musical eras into her sound to create something all her own. She does the same with her hair and style\u2014pulling in throwback trends, mixing them up, and coming out totally Miley. With the release of her latest album Something Beautiful<\/em> and its accompanying film, Cyrus has embraced a late-’80s, early-’90s vibe, posing on the red carpet in sky-high bangs and tons of wavy, hair metal-star texture. And it keeps getting bigger and better!<\/p>\n

For a recent trip to Paris, Cyrus took the volume up to 11 with long, tousled waves thrown over her shoulder. Her highlighted honey-bronde hair was parted to the side with the shorter front layers curled and teased for that classic \u201cmall bang” look, complete with a defined \u201cswoop\u201d lifted a few inches from her hairline. Velcro rollers may have been involved, and probably a healthy spritz of hairspray. The rest of Cyrus’s hair was styled in messy unfussy waves to add a rock ‘n roll edge to her fitted (and very on-theme) Eiffel Tower dress, as though she styled them the day before, played a show, got a few hours of sleep, and ran her hands through her hair before heading out for the day.<\/p>\n

Cyrus has never shied way from experimenting with her hair cut, style, and color, and we’ve seen her in so<\/em> many retro-inspired looks over the years, including a choppy mullet with \u201880s roots and the 2000s two-tone \u201chalo\u201d hair with dark lower layers and a lighter color on top, which Cyrus wore for quite awhile before transitioning to a more dimensional bronde shade. At the 2024 Grammy Awards, she shouted out her godmother Dolly Parton with a beyond voluminous, touch-the-ceiling hairstyle, but these days? We\u2019re a lot more Def Leppard than Dolly!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
