\u201cI just had my Saturn Return, and at the beginning of it, it was like \u2018be prepared to lose everything, change everything,\u2019\u201d Rachel Sennott<\/a> confesses in her DA-Zed Guide to Being<\/a>. \u201cI thought \u2018OK sure\u2019, but it beat my ass, it was horrible. I had just gone through a break-up, I didn\u2019t know if my show would be picked up, I was like \u2018What the hell is going on?\u2019\u201d Coming out of her Saturn return, Sennott is on top of the world. Her uber-popular show, <\/span>I Love LA<\/span><\/em>, was in fact picked up by HBO, and has been renewed for a season two.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAfter you spend time here [LA], you find your rhythm and your friends \u2013 the show is a lot about that,\u201d she tells Dazed. As our editorial director Dominique Sisley<\/a> writes in her<\/span>\u00a0profile of Sennott, <\/span>I Love LA<\/span><\/em>, was inspired by Sennott\u2019s own move to Los Angeles in 2020. It follows 27-year-old Maia (played by Sennott), an ambitious talent manager, and her friends, all trying to make it in Hollywood. \u201cI am obsessed with the cast\u201d, Sennott proclaims: \u201cJordan Firstman, Odessa A\u2019zion, True Whitaker, Josh Hutcherson \u2013 you know him, you love him!\u201d With the craziness of the entertainment industry, Sennott remarks on how grateful she is for her cast and her friends like Ayo Edebiri<\/a>, who she\u2019s known since college: \u201cHaving your people, who you\u2019ve known for so long, there\u2019s a level of trust there that feels good.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Elsewhere, Sennott reflects on turning 30, her changing relationship with social media and her big Irish-Italian family. \u201cA big part of my life used to be crying selfies. If I\u2019m working a job where I\u2019m in charge of like 300 people, it would feel disingenuous to post a selfie of me crying,\u201d Sennott confessed. \u201cSo I think I just wanted to take space from the internet for a second and come back to it as my new self. But now I\u2019m like, \u2018I don\u2019t think I need to go back on Twitter.\u2019 It doesn\u2019t seem very good over there, and I\u2019m having a blast on TikTok.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
