    When, this past weekend, Hailey Bieber celebrated her 29th birthday with her husband\u2014a little-known musical artist by the name of Justin Bieber\u2014by her side, the sight of the happy couple (well, their clasped hands and socked feet, anyway) got us thinking about the long and winding road of their relationship.<\/p>\n

    Oh, you too? Well, how about a timeline of Justin and Hailey Biebers\u2019 courtship and marriage, then? Without further ado\u2026:<\/p>\n

    October 2009: They meet<\/h2>\n

    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n

    Not every girl can say she met her internationally famous husband in the lobby of The Today Show<\/em>, but that\u2019s exactly where Justin and Hailey Bieber first made each other\u2019s acquaintance, back when he was a swoopy-haired teen pop idol. Hailey\u2019s father, actor Stephen Baldwin, introduced the two of them\u2014an adorably awkward moment captured on video.<\/p>\n

    January 2016: They soft-launch their romance with an Instagram-worthy kiss<\/h2>\n

    Years later, Hailey and Justin reconnected through Hillsong Church, but they didn\u2019t hard-launch their relationship until after photos were published of the couple sharing a kiss at Leonardo DiCaprio\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve party in St. Barts.<\/p>\n

    February 2016: They share their love with the press<\/h2>\n

    Justin referred to Hailey as \u201csomeone I really love\u201d in his March 2016 GQ<\/em> cover story, adding: \u201cWe spend a lot of time together.\u201d Asked about Justin\u2019s comments, however, Hailey clarified to E! News that the two were not exclusive. Intrigue!<\/p>\n

    Winter 2016: They split up<\/h2>\n

    The course of true love famously never runs smooth, and indeed, Justin and Hailey ended Round One of their relationship almost a decade ago, not long after the GQ<\/em> story came out. \u201cI just was honest with her, I was like, \u2018I\u2019m not in a place to be faithful,\u2019 and all this sort of stuff that I wanted to be but I just wasn\u2019t there yet,\u201d Justin recalled of their highly publicized breakup on the premiere episode of his and Hailey\u2019s 2020 Facebook show, The Biebers on Watch.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Spring 2018: They get back together<\/h2>\n

    After two years that Hailey described as \u201ca long period of time when we weren\u2019t friends,\u201d Justin and Hailey were once again spotted attending church together and making out all over the place, from New York to Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

    July 2018: They get engaged<\/h2>\n

    Justin confirmed the rumors of his Bahamas engagement to Hailey on Instagram, captioning a cuddly photo of the couple thusly: \u201cYou are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn\u2019t want to spend it with anybody else. You make me so much better and we compliment eachother [sic] so well. It\u2019s funny because now with you everything seems to make sense!\u201d<\/p>\n

    Fall 2018: They\u2019re (quietly) married!<\/h2>\n

    Justin and Hailey officially became the Biebers in September 2018, at small civil ceremony in New York, with Justin first referring to Hailey as his wife on social media a few months later.<\/p>\n

    March 2019: They grace the cover of Vogue<\/em><\/h2>\n

    The Biebers\u2019 first joint Vogue<\/em> cover was shot by none other than Annie Leibovitz, and the accompanying story shed plenty of light on the ups and downs of the couple\u2019s relationship. \u201cYou don\u2019t wake up every day saying, \u2018I\u2019m absolutely so in love and you are perfect.\u2019 That\u2019s not what being married is,\u201d Hailey told writer Rob Haskell. \u201cBut there\u2019s something beautiful about it anyway\u2014about wanting to fight for something, commit to building with someone. We\u2019re really young, and that\u2019s a scary aspect. We\u2019re going to change a lot. But we\u2019re committed to growing together and supporting each other in those changes. That\u2019s how I look at it. At the end of the day, too, he\u2019s my best friend. I never get sick of him.\u201d Aww!<\/p>\n

    September 2019: It\u2019s time for Wedding 2!<\/h2>\n

    If you\u2019re going to do a charmingly tiny courthouse thing for your first wedding, you kind of have<\/em> to blow it out for the second one. That\u2019s exactly what the Biebers did at the Inn at Palmetto Bluff near downtown Savannah, Georgia\u2014for which the bride wore custom Off-White by Virgil Abloh, natch.<\/p>\n

    May 2024: They announce Hailey\u2019s pregnancy<\/h2>\n

    When Hailey shared on Instagram (where else?) that she and Justin had renewed their vows, the post doubled as a pregnancy announcement, with Hailey shown wearing a sheer Saint Laurent lace dress that showed off her belly.<\/p>\n

    August 2024: They become parents<\/h2>\n

    Instagram was, once again, the venue of choice for the Biebers to announce that their firstborn son had officially joined the party. \u201cWelcome Home Jack Blues Bieber,\u201d Justin captioned an image that featured Hailey\u2019s signature manicured nails gently grasping baby Jack\u2019s foot.<\/p>\n

    May 2025: Hailey opens up about parenthood with Justin in her first solo Vogue<\/em> cover story<\/h2>\n

    After sharing details about her difficult labor with Jack, Hailey described a happy existence at home with her young family, telling Alessandra Codinha, \u201cI\u2019m walking in the days I always dreamed of.\u201d Sweet!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n
