Now, as always, it pays to be a Jordan Brand school. For collectors and fans alike, the exclusive colorways that collegiate athletes receive if they\u2019re under the Jumpman umbrella continue to be objects of fascination. For Jordan historians, the Air Jordan 10 \u201cUNC\u201d that the 2025\u201326 squad recently unboxed has an additional layer of intrigue attached to it.<\/p>\n

While never-before-seen color-ups are an integral part of the PE newswire, the Air Jordan 10 \u201cUNC\u201d takes things a step further, altering the 1990s silhouette on a compositional level. The outlines of the sneaker remain intact, but new stitching patterns break up the upper in a transformational way, creating a large uninterrupted swatch underneath the medial counter, adding a circular patch above the first break in the midsole, and adding a sleeve-like patch of suede that creeps from the heel to the lateral quarter. Doing so allows for some unorthodox color-blocking applications, adding an embroidered tar heel on the outside and an ocean of trademark \u201cUniversity Blue\u201d on those aforementioned suede sections.<\/p>\n

Zooming out, the silhouette in general is an unexpected development. In 2025, it\u2019s been the Nike Kobe 5 Protro that\u2019s been the college hoops model du jour, and jumping back a year, the indomitable Air Jordan 4 poured out school-specific looks at will. With the toe-capped Air Jordan 10 \u201cSteel\u201d and OG \u201cShadow\u201d helping re-familiarize broader audiences with the AJ10, maybe this is a signal that it\u2019ll stick around in the ether for a bit longer.<\/p>\n

As with all PE heat, if you\u2019re not a Tar Heel, the Air Jordan 10 \u201cUNC\u201d will be nigh inaccessible, or at least come with a very high secondary markup (\u201cLIMITED\u201d text on the shoe box confirms as much). You can, however, get a closer look via the images embedded below.<\/p>\n
