If you\u2019ve been searching for the coziest winter nail color to pair with your cold weather wardrobe, look no further: Selena Gomez has the solution. The Rare Beauty founder just shared a speedy makeup tutorial on Instagram while enjoying a relaxed evening at home, and showed off a covetable new nail color while she was at it.<\/p>\n

Gomez\u2019s chosen \u201capple cider\u201d shade is not overly deep and gothic, like the black cherry or Bordeaux manicures that many of us typically gravitate towards at this time of year, but rather a soft brown\u2014the work of her manicurist Tom Bachik.<\/p>\n

Thanks to Bachik, Gomez\u2019s nails were fashioned into her signature soft almond shape, and painted with Apr\u00e9s Gel Couleur polish in Spiced Apple Cider, an appealing alternative to more obvious winter mani shades.<\/p>\n

\u201cRichly pigmented chocolate metallic shimmer is the perfect nail colour to evoke the cosiness of the season,\u201d manicurist Sonya Belakhlef previously told Vogue<\/em>.<\/em> For those after a sparkle-free finish, opt for brown shades with hints of gray. This reads neutral, and is very flattering for the colder months, when our summer tans are nothing but a distant memory.<\/p>\n

Expect to see spiced apple hues popping up on beauty palettes this season\u2014after all, Selena Gomez previously had a hand in kick-starting the pink mocha and toasted manicure trends. To master the look at home, Bachik revealed that he always shapes and buffs the nail, ensuring to tidy up his clients\u2019s cuticles before carefully painting on the polish.
