Who is emblematic of the brand ethos, while current enough to attract the target audience?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>For Palace\u2019s 2025 holiday lookbook, the legendary skate brand has tapped one of the year\u2019s coolest emerging musicians. Canadian alt-pop artist Sophia Stel began gaining attention last year with her dreamy synths and debut EP <\/span><em><span>Object Permanence. <\/span><\/em><span>She\u2019s been on the rise ever since, releasing a deluxe edition of her debut, as well as a follow-up project, <\/span><em><span>How to Win At Solitaire.<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A brand synonymous with cool, it\u2019s no wonder Stel caught Palace\u2019s attention, particularly given her relationship with skate culture. \u201cIt\u2019s played a pretty big role in who I am as a person,\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/68375\/1\/sophia-stel-sonic-lovechild-ethel-cain-070-shake-alt-pop-how-to-win-at-solitaire\"><span>she told Dazed<\/span><\/a><span> earlier this year, explaining the way that skaters have influenced her visual identity. \u201cI lived with a bunch of skaters for a while when I was fresh out of high school. We would watch a lot of videos and compilations. The really cool thing about skate videos is they have to rely on these unpredictable moments.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The Vancouver-born artist has lived many lives already, having worked as a gardener, a painter and a bartender. Last month, she made her catwalk debut walking for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DPbvnuBCLRO\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\">Ann Demeulemeester<\/a>, and now, she can add campaign star to her CV too.
