Whether it’s Lonchamp’s palm-sized Le Pliage Original (a perfectly shrunken version of the best-selling Tote) or Ulta Beauty’s foray into the small-scale with a Mini Brands beauty collaboration\u2014it was a big year for thiny things. The latest life-sized joiner of the tiny trend? Raul Lopez, founder of the Brooklyn-based fashion brand Luar in collaboration with TRESemm\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll my homegirls and all my friends love a hair clip,\u201d Lopez tells Vogue<\/em> over the phone. That’s where the idea of a claw clip in the shape of his iconic Ana Bag was born. \u201cIt’s such an old school hair accessory that’s really making a comeback and this is how Luar interprets the trend.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lopez and TRESemm\u00e9 have worked together for a handful of fashion seasons to create playful\u2014and sometimes totally gravity defying\u2014beauty looks. \u201cBoth of our brands work to democratize beauty and fashion,\u201d Lopez says of the relationship. \u201cI have always loved seeing how the women around me tell a story with their hair, and you can see that on my runways. I’m a show queen. Whether it’s hair down to the toes or very shiny slick back, there’s always a message and story with hair.\u201d<\/p>\n

So what’s the story the delightfully minaturized Ana Claw Clip is telling us? It’s holiday-ready hair, simplified. The clip is paired with TRESemm\u00e9’s A-List Collection Dry Texturizing Spray so you can bouffant, behive, or maybe just spriz, clip, and go into a polished look without too much effort.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ana bag was inspired by both my mom and grandmother, who are both named Ana,\u201d Lopez says. \u201cTheir hard work shaped me into the person I am today. I remember my mom waking up at 5 a.m. to do her hair and makeup\u2014beauty is so much of a part of who I am. And the Luar girl, too.\u201d<\/p>\n
