Back in the 2010s, tabloid celebrity magazines were constantly splashed with headlines like \u201cX as You\u2019ve Never Seen Them Before\u201d\u2014usually subtext for a grainy, unflattering snap and some kind of public meltdown. It was that phrase that flickered through my mind last week as I watched Emma Stone slowly massage chalky white sunscreen across her bald head in a scene from Bugonia<\/em>, Yorgos Lanthimos\u2019s latest fever dream of a film, which stars Stone \u201cas you\u2019ve never seen her.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the magic of a good glam squad (and, well, hair growth) works fast, and the actress is back to her A-list ways, attending the 2025 Governors Awards last night in an off-the-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown that laughed in the face of the November forecast. While it feels like only five minutes ago we were searching heatwave outfits, we\u2019re now firmly in festive RSVPs territory, with Stone\u2019s collarbone-exposing look serving as a reminder that practicality has never been a priority when it comes to a party season wardrobe.<\/p>\n

Despite often leaning into the weird and wonderful on screen, Emma Stone\u2019s red-carpet looks stick to the classic Hollywood school of styling, with a dependable rotation of Louis Vuitton gowns and the occasional Gwyneth-in-green homage.
