Boho hair has reigned supreme this year\u2014so it was only inevitable that a counterpoint would eventually emerge. Say hello to the undercut, which is fierce, anything but floaty, and decidedly cool. The poster girl? Kristen Stewart, who just showed off hers with a punky ponytail at the Governors Awards 2025.<\/p>\n

Stewart walked the red carpet in a Rodarte gown with lace detailing and matching white heels. The twist? Her daring new hairdo. Celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel kept the actress\u2019s microbangs super shiny, while allowing longer pieces to fall loose at each side to frame her face. Stewart\u2019s lightly grown-out undercut was exposed by the bouncy high ponytail Abergel positioned high on the star\u2019s crown.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Makeup artist Mai Quynh crafted a suitably dramatic beauty look to go with it: a pale mauve smoky eye with a barely-there ghost lash, all set against a luminescent base. Stewart\u2019s nails were the same pearly white as the lace on her dress.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time that Stewart has stepped out with an alternative hairstyle. Earlier this year, she went to a screening of Sacramento<\/em> in Los Angeles sporting grown-out roots, bleached blonde hair, and the chicest \u201chime\u201d\u00a0cut.<\/p>\n
