promising that it&#8217;s now much faster and easier to use than before.<\/p>\n<p>Starting today, anyone part of the Xbox Insiders program can try out the new improvements. According to Microsoft, the updated Xbox PC app now boots up 60% faster, several pages can launch up to 50% faster, and in-app windows can open up to 65% faster. The company acknowledged that performance can vary based on your set up, internet connection, device, and so on.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of the update involves &#8220;simpler navigation, updated filters, and new ways to organise your games,&#8221; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/news.xbox.com\/en-us\/2026\/11\/05\/a-faster-simpler-xbox-experience-is-coming-to-pc-web-and-cloud\/\">Xbox Wire<\/a>, while social features are now included in the main navigation menu so you can start playing or chatting with friends quicker.<\/p>\n<p>A faster Xbox PC app is certainly nice for players who regularly use it, though it&#8217;s still missing a lot of the features that make Steam the go-to place to buy PC games. CEO Asha Sharma <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/asha_shar\/status\/2118387881039593544\">called<\/a> the update &#8220;a meaningful improvement,&#8221; but acknowledged there&#8217;s still &#8220;plenty more to do.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft also said &#8220;it&#8217;s easier to find what you&#8217;re looking for&#8221; using the app&#8217;s search function, and refreshed game cards and animations should give the platform &#8220;a cleaner look and feel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, the revamped cloud gaming setup will roll out to even more people using web browsers, and more Xbox Insiders should hear about the program over the next few weeks. &#8220;The updated experience also makes it easier to find and play your games,&#8221; the company said while bringing attention to its new light and dark modes.
