loading=\"lazy\"><span>ADVERTISEMENT<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Irish Independent and the RT\u00c9 broadcaster were among the outlets to have reported threats.<\/p>\n<p>RT\u00c9 said an alert went out after it received an email on Friday morning. The broadcaster said presenters and other employees were evacuated from buildings on its campus in southern Dublin and that the garda\u00ed &#8211; Ireland&#8217;s police &#8211; were at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>RT\u00c9 said it was prioritising the safety of employees and personnel and that normal services would resume as soon as possible following talks with police.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed were also at Independent House, the headquarters of the Irish Independent, on Friday, the paper said.<\/p>\n<p>Staff at Newstalk Radio and Today FM were also reportedly evacuated.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to Euronews, Garda\u00ed said they were &#8220;aware of a threat made against media organisations here and in Europe.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>They are &#8220;liaising with the Irish media organisations and the threats will be investigated,&#8221; the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>Irish Taoiseach Miche\u00e1l Martin called the incidents &#8220;very serious,&#8221; saying they were likely part of a &#8220;coordinated campaign of disruption&#8221; alongside a recent flurry of bomb hoaxes targeting European airlines. He said it was not yet clear who was behind the threats, however.<\/p>\n<p>It comes around a week before Dublin is due to host a meeting of the European Political Community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The summit will discuss the security of Europe following the full Russian invasion of Ukraine,&#8221; Irish MEP Barry Andrews wrote in a post on X on Friday in response to news of the latest bomb threats.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Disruption, confusion, distrust is the aim behind such hybrid attacks. European leaders must establish control. This cannot continue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>This is a developing story. The broadcaster said presenters and other employees were evacuated from buildings on its campus in southern Dublin and that the garda\u00ed &#8211; Ireland&#8217;s police &#8211; were at the scene.RT\u00c9 said it was prioritising the safety of employees and personnel and that normal services would resume as soon as possible following talks with police.Garda\u00ed were also at Independent House, the headquarters of the Irish Independent, on Friday, the paper said.Staff at Newstalk Radio and Today FM were also reportedly evacuated.In a statement to Euronews, Garda\u00ed said they were &#8220;aware of a threat made against media organisations here and in Europe.&#8221;They are &#8220;liaising with the Irish media organisations and the threats will be investigated,&#8221; the statement added.Irish Taoiseach Miche\u00e1l Martin called the incidents &#8220;very serious,&#8221; saying they were likely part of a &#8220;coordinated campaign of disruption&#8221; alongside a recent flurry of bomb hoaxes targeting European airlines.
