Since then, the New Yorker has built a devoted following, thanks in part to her social media series Lovey\u2019s List, a weekly edit of her favorite fashion and beauty finds. She\u2019s also co-designed a collection with Wayf and launched a budding Substack, P.S. I Lovey You<\/a>. In other words, if this is your first time hearing about Porter, it certainly won\u2019t be the last.<\/p>\n

When it comes to getting dressed, Porter has a golden rule of thumb: If an outfit doesn\u2019t make a statement through color<\/a>, it needs texture. \u201cIf it doesn’t have texture, it needs shape or movement,\u201d she tells TZR. Ideally, though, her ensembles check all three boxes. The tastemaker has always gravitated toward pieces that feel unique or a little unexpected. \u201cI love the contrast of something as classic and lived-in as vintage denim<\/a> with a jacket that has a personality of its own,\u201d Porter shares. \u201cTo me, personal style is all about taking something familiar and making it feel entirely your own.\u201d<\/p>\n
