A handful of hours later, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Community_Gears\/status\/2109414263219507430\">these had apparently been resolved<\/a>, though many comments to the contrary suggested issues remained.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a bumpy start for what has otherwise been a notable new entry in the Gears series, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/gears-of-war-eday-review\">Dom awarding Gears of War: E-day four stars in Eurogamer&#8217;s review<\/a> &#8211; it&#8217;s a game of contrasts, Dom said. &#8220;Though there&#8217;s still plenty of waist-high cover, ebb-and-flow firefighting, and braindead machismo, Gears E-Day proves that looking back can, indeed, help you look forward, too,&#8221; Dom wrote.<\/p>\n<p>This isn&#8217;t the first time this year we&#8217;ve seen a game&#8217;s online portion impacted by DDoS attacks: in January, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/arc-raiders-and-the-finals-hit-by-coordinated-ddos-attacks\">Arc Raiders and The Finals were hit by &#8220;coordinated&#8221; DDoS attacks<\/a>.
