Apparently enough people looked at &#8217;80s and &#8217;90s Nissans and wanted them to look like Deusenbergs that it spawned\u00a0<em>multiple corporations<\/em>.\u00a0Unfortunately for Spartan, the phrase &#8220;Spartan II&#8221; has come to have a completely different meaning in the last 40 years, and now I&#8217;m just picturing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jalopnik.com\/2224583\/lamborghini-themed-halo-urus-forza-horizon-6\/\" target=\"_blank\">Master Chief<\/a> trying to fit his armor into this thing. I\u00a0didn&#8217;t even have to get to the yellow fog lamps before I\u00a0was sold, which is how you know I truly love a car \u2014 usually, yellow fogs are the first thing I notice.\u00a0There are also plenty of suspension mods to make the air ride play nice, plus Acura\u00a0RL calipers. The calipers are done up in white, which looks incredible until the first time you dare to actually use them. Then, I&#8217;m sure things take a turn.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The seller claims the rear suspension on this Odyssey isn&#8217;t actually properly set up for the bags, and that the rear struts top out on their extension when at ride height. I can think of exactly zero flaws that could come up in the process of trying to ride one of these to New York. The suspension is aftermarket, the ECU is aftermarket, the dashboard and seats and\u00a0<em>both\u00a0<\/em>radiators are aftermarket. There are probably some structural bits left from the Mazda, the subframes and such, but most of this is just cobbled together from third party sellers. Automakers right now are trying with all their design might to make unique rear pillars and windows, and here Oldsmobile did it by simply not being beholden to such boring concepts as &#8220;just one roofline,&#8221;\u00a0Why have one roof height when you could have two? When you could put roof racks on for a third?\u00a0Toyota, do this on the next 4Runner, and I will sing your praises from the highest peaks.
