They were outscoring Red Bull in that race,\u201d Brundle told Sky Sports F1.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just wasn\u2019t really necessary. It doesn\u2019t really matter what the rules are, they didn\u2019t need to make contact there. It\u2019s difficult. They can\u2019t afford the parts, they can\u2019t afford the points and now they are up in the stewards\u2019 office which will destabilise their preparation. No doubt they\u2019ll be some broken bits on both cars as well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt just wasn\u2019t worth the risk. And obviously there still was one.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But it was a big gap, so I went for it. I have the right to do that. The rest, we go review as a team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Piastri, meanwhile, appeared unbothered, saying: &#8220;I need to look at it. I didn&#8217;t see him at the apex.
