\n\tLive Nation Entertainment is making a majority investment in Chilean live entertainment company Bizarro, Billboard<\/em> can announce Friday (Oct. 9). The agreement will combine Live Nation\u2019s international expertise and global network with Bizarro\u2019s local market knowledge and relationships with Latin artists. The companies said the partnership will create more opportunities for artists and expand live music experiences for fans across Chile.<\/p>\n\n\t\u201cChile is one of the most dynamic music markets in Latin America, and a priority for Live Nation,\u201d Michael Rapino<\/strong>, president and CEO of Live Nation Entertainment, said in a statement. \u201cThis agreement with Bizarro complements our existing partnership with DG Medios and strengthens our commitment to Chile and the growth of Latin music across the region.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Alfredo Alonso<\/strong>, Bizarro\u2019s founder, will continue leading the company\u2019s creative and strategic direction. He founded the concert promotion business in 2008, and the company has operated in Chile for more than 18 years. It has also promoted and produced the Vi\u00f1a del Mar Festival since 2018.<\/p>\n\n\t\u201cBizarro was built with the purpose of connecting Chilean fans with the best live entertainment in the world,\u201d Alonso said. \u201cPartnering with Live Nation is a tremendous opportunity to enhance everything we have built, opening the door to even more artists, larger stages and new experiences for audiences across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n\tLive Nation\u2019s longtime Chilean partner, DG Medios<\/strong>, will continue to play a central role in the growth of international live music events in the country. The new partner will also contribute its expertise in developing Latin artists and local content, including its work around the Vi\u00f1a del Mar Festival.<\/p>\n\n\tThe agreement adds another layer to Live Nation\u2019s expanding network across Latin America, where the company has increasingly combined global scale with local partnerships and ownership stakes. Its regional portfolio includes OCESA in Mexico, P\u00e1ramo Presenta in Colombia and Dale Play Live in Argentina.<\/p>\n
\n\tIn Peru, Live Nation announced a majority investment in Bizarro Peru in January. Bizarro Peru and Live Nation\u2019s existing Lima-based team are operating as a unified local organization, with the companies combining the Peruvian promoter\u2019s local expertise with Live Nation\u2019s international resources.<\/p>\n
\n\t\u201cTogether with Alberto and the team in Lima, we\u2019ll combine Live Nation\u2019s global expertise with our deep local knowledge to elevate the live music experience for fans and artists across the country,\u201d Alonso said when the Peru agreement was announced. He also serves as president of Live Nation Peru.<\/p>\n
\n\tFor Chile, the companies said the focus will be on supporting artists, improving the live experience and expanding the country\u2019s live entertainment offering. Bizarro will continue to lead its creative and strategic work, while Live Nation contributes its international reach and experience.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
