\n\tThe promo begins with Gillis introducing himself as this week\u2019s host alongside musical guest Rosal\u00eda. Thompson then jumps in with an idea for a character he wants to play on Gillis\u2019 Netflix comedy Tires<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have some ideas for my next character next season in Tires<\/em>,\u201d Thompson tells Gillis.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOh, we already filmed it,\u201d Gillis replies.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter Thompson insists that Gillis must not have seen what he filmed, the host eventually gives in.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDude, character development, the color schemes. Incredible,\u201d Thompson says.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s okay,\u201d Gillis responds. \u201cOkay, I didn\u2019t see it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe back-and-forth sets up the promo\u2019s running joke: Thompson keeps suggesting things that have already been done.<\/p>\n

\n\tThat becomes pretty hilarious when Rosal\u00eda comes into the conversation.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhat if I made an album that blends pop and classical music in 14 languages?\u201d Thompson asks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat\u2019s LUX<\/em>, my album. I already made that. Sorry,\u201d Rosal\u00eda responds matter-of-factly.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd she has a point. Rosal\u00eda\u2019s fourth studio album LUX<\/em> made a huge impact on the Billboard<\/em> charts following its release, debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The album also debuted at No. 1 on five Billboard<\/em> charts: Top Latin Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover Albums and World Albums.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project\u2019s multilingual and classical influences are central to LUX<\/em>. Rosal\u00eda recorded the album in 13 languages, while its expansive orchestral production helped the album cross over into Billboard<\/em>\u2018s classical and classical crossover charts.<\/p>\n

\n\tRosal\u00eda is returning to Studio 8H as the musical guest for the second time. She previously appeared on SNL<\/em> in March 2022 while promoting Motomami<\/em>, performing \u201cChicken Teriyaki\u201d and \u201cLa Fama.\u201d She also made a cameo during Bad Bunny\u2019s 2021 SNL<\/em> performance of \u201cLa Noche de Anoche.\u201d This time, Rosal\u00eda will join Gillis for the Oct. 10 episode.<\/p>\n
