The machine will start at $2,599 for a configuration with an 8-core CPU, 24GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, and it will be released on October 16th. The laptop also has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/news\/1006445\/microsofts-surface-laptop-ultra-has-built-in-magnetic-usb-c-charging\">built-in magnetic USB-C charging<\/a> instead of the proprietary Surface Connect magnetic charging port. <em>The Verge<\/em>\u2019s Tom Warren published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/tech\/1006356\/microsoft-surface-laptop-ultra-behind-the-scenes\">a deep dive all about the new laptop<\/a>.
