\n\tPeople often say that DC is Hollywood for ugly people. That\u2019s sort of like the-<\/p>\n

\n\tI wasn\u2019t gonna say it, but [laughs]<\/p>\n

\n\tDC is all about a brand around a person, and an artist is all about a brand around a person. They all have teams-<\/p>\n
\n\tKristin Robinson\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tWith everything going on in DC right now, there are a ton of hot button issues, life or death situations, and then you come in and you\u2019re like, \u201cHey, let\u2019s care about music. \u201d Or is it difficult to get people to see the gravity of what is going on in the music industry?<\/p>\n
\n\tMitch Glazer\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tIt\u2019s not, because everybody loves music. The first thing I ask any person who\u2019s elected to Congress is, \u201cWhat was the song that you danced to at your wedding? \u201d That is our secret weapon. This industry is small with a huge impact.<\/p>\n
\n\tKristin Robinson\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tSo when I talk to people about generative AI, they\u2019ll say generative AI is music\u2019s next Napster moment. Do you think that that\u2019s a fair comparison?<\/p>\n
\n\tMitch Glazer\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tI think it\u2019s the opposite. I would say with Napster, we were put in this terrible situation where it was like, you know, the industry versus fans. That\u2019s not where you want to be. AI\u2019s the complete opposite. Like, the fans, the people, they\u2019re with us.<\/p>\n
\n\tKristin Robinson\u00a0<\/p>\n
\n\tSo I want to talk about the NO FAKES Act. It was first introduced as a draft bill in 2023, then it was formally introduced in 2024, reintroduced in 2025.<\/p>\n
