Snowmass,<\/a> Colorado, is heading into the 2026-27 winter season with a rebuilt mid-mountain restaurant, renovated lodging, new community programming, expanded Ikon Pass access, and another chapter in the area\u2019s remarkable Ice Age discoveries.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snowmass Tourism announced the updates in a press release<\/a>, highlighting changes coming to both Snowmass Ski Area and the surrounding village.<\/strong> \u201cSnowmass is entering the 2026-27 winter season with an exciting mix of new experiences, beloved traditions, and major milestones,\u201d Julia Theisen, tourism director for Snowmass Tourism, said in the press release. \u201cFrom the mountain and village to the next chapter of the Ziegler discovery, there\u2019s a lot to look forward to in Snowmass this winter and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here is what skiers and visitors can expect this winter.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Snowmass Ski Area<\/strong><\/h3>\n

One of the biggest changes on the mountain will be the return of Ullrhof.<\/strong> The popular mid-mountain restaurant has been undergoing a complete rebuild since summer 2025 and is scheduled to reopen for the 2026-27 season. The new restaurant will feature seating for more than 600 people, along with a new bar and lounge area. It will also become Aspen Snowmass\u2019 first fully electric restaurant. \u201cThis project is part of a multi-year initiative to elevate guest dining experiences at Snowmass and add restaurant seating across the mountain,\u201d the press release states.<\/p>\n

    Snowmass will also have a new pass option this winter as it joins the Ikon Base Pass<\/a>, giving eligible passholders five days at Snowmass, subject to select blackout dates.<\/strong> The benefit applies only to Snowmass and does not include Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, or Buttermilk.<\/p>\n
