Mod creator Yui, who&#8217;s responsible for the seamless co-op mods for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/dark-souls-now-has-seamless-co-op-thanks-to-modder-who-did-the-same-for-elden-ring\">Dark Souls Remastered<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/ahead-of-elden-ring-nightreign-dark-souls-3-modder-adds-seamless-co-op-overhaul-nine-years-after-release\">Dark Souls 3<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/elden-ring-seamless-co-op-mod-now-supports-shadow-of-the-erdtree-dlc\">Elden Ring<\/a> and Armored Core has returned to release the mod&#8217;s alpha version to the public.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/dark-souls-ii\">Dark Souls 2<\/a> does, of course, support co-op by default. But, as with other FromSoftware-developed games, the process is a little convoluted and comes with a number of limitations that prevent players from being able to play with their friends with no interruptions.<\/p>\n<p>Yui&#8217;s mods solve that, making it possible to play the game alongside friends (up to five others, in this case) from start to finish in a single session. The mod skirts around many of the game&#8217;s inherent limitations to do so, removing progression blockers and keeping all players&#8217; sessions in sync.<\/p>\n<p>The mod can be downloaded from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nexusmods.com\/darksouls2\/mods\/1468\">NexusMods<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/yuiamoroll\/DarkSouls2SeamlessCoopRelease\/releases\">GitHub<\/a>. It goes without saying that this alpha version is going to have a few issues, as Yui is using it to test the mod and fix bugs &#8211; so don&#8217;t expect the experience to be quite as seamless as you&#8217;re used to from her other mods.<\/p>\n<p>Some potential problems include enemy de-sync when a player dies, including when facing bosses such as Velstadt, and Sinh. Certain interactions, such as opening\/closing doors or picking up items, may not always be in-sync for all players too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/yuiamoroll\/posts\/release-dark-2-170147296\">Yui&#8217;s Patreon post has a full list of known issues<\/a>, so it&#8217;s worth having a look at that before you jump in.
