The MTV Video Music Awards have rolled around once more, and while the annual red carpet has become a who\u2019s who of \u2018who is that\u2019, a few famous people do actually still show up, which is quite nice. Some of those famous people even wear nice clothes, which is even better for us, especially as this year\u2019s ceremony has fallen on a fallow fashion day, aka the 24 hours between Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks. Alas, the Peacock Theatre of downtown Los Angeles \u2013 just across the street from the Crypto.com Arena \u2013 could never compete with the runways of Paris and Milan, but it tried its hardest, and surely that\u2019s what counts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Putting her best style foot forward this year was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/charli-xcx\"><span>Charli xcx<\/span><\/a><span>, who arrived in custom <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/saint-laurent\"><span>Saint Laurent<\/span><\/a><span> by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/anthony-vaccarello\"><span>Anthony Vaccarello<\/span><\/a><span> \u2013 a floor-length velvet skirt and matching crop top with puffball sleeves. Charli isn\u2019t that much of a frequent attender of the VMAs, having last turned up in a Shawna Wu minidress with an inexplicable bouffant for the Crash promo run in 2021. Now, in this post-<\/span><em><span>Brat<\/span><\/em><span>, post-<\/span><em><span>MFF <\/span><\/em><span>era, she\u2019s famously upped her style game, and even switched out to a custom <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/dsquared2\"><span>Dsquared2<\/span><\/a><span> look to perform \u201cDanceteria Afterhours\u201d with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/madonna\"><span>Madonna<\/span><\/a><span> on stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Outside of the xcxverse, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/teyana-taylor\"><span>Teyana Taylor<\/span><\/a><span> continued a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/69003\/1\/alls-fair-apart-from-teyana-taylors-red-carpet-style-tom-ford\"><span>generational run of red carpet moments<\/span><\/a><span> with a feathered nightgown moment from Zuhair Murad; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/pinkpantheress\"><span>PinkPantheress<\/span><\/a><span> looked all grown up in a tiered Nina Ricci column, while Flo came through like Stepford Baddies in matching blunt wigs, blank stares, and body-hugging python dresses. Alas, the Peacock Theatre of downtown Los Angeles \u2013 just across the street from the Crypto.com Arena \u2013 could never compete with the runways of Paris and Milan, but it tried its hardest, and surely that\u2019s what counts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Putting her best style foot forward this year was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/charli-xcx\"><span>Charli xcx<\/span><\/a><span>, who arrived in custom <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/saint-laurent\"><span>Saint Laurent<\/span><\/a><span> by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/anthony-vaccarello\"><span>Anthony Vaccarello<\/span><\/a><span> \u2013 a floor-length velvet skirt and matching crop top with puffball sleeves. Charli isn\u2019t that much of a frequent attender of the VMAs, having last turned up in a Shawna Wu minidress with an inexplicable bouffant for the Crash promo run in 2021. Now, in this post-<\/span><em><span>Brat<\/span><\/em><span>, post-<\/span><em><span>MFF <\/span><\/em><span>era, she\u2019s famously upped her style game, and even switched out to a custom <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/dsquared2\"><span>Dsquared2<\/span><\/a><span> look to perform \u201cDanceteria Afterhours\u201d with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/madonna\"><span>Madonna<\/span><\/a><span> on stage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Outside of the xcxverse, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/teyana-taylor\"><span>Teyana Taylor<\/span><\/a><span> continued a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/fashion\/article\/69003\/1\/alls-fair-apart-from-teyana-taylors-red-carpet-style-tom-ford\"><span>generational run of red carpet moments<\/span><\/a><span> with a feathered nightgown moment from Zuhair Murad; <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/pinkpantheress\"><span>PinkPantheress<\/span><\/a><span> looked all grown up in a tiered Nina Ricci column, while Flo came through like Stepford Baddies in matching blunt wigs, blank stares, and body-hugging python dresses.
