Microsoft has stepped in to address a report that claimed GTA 6 preorders are \u201cheavily skewed\u201d toward PlayStation 5 over Xbox Series X and S.<\/p>\n

In a report about this week\u2019s layoffs and studios reorganization at Xbox<\/a>, The Verge\u2019s Tom Warren said<\/a> the PS5\u2019s dominance over GTA 6 preorders was \u201cringing yet more alarm bells” about Xbox as a platform.<\/p>\n

However, Xbox CSO Matthew Ball insisted<\/a> that Microsoft was \u201cvery happy\u201d with GTA 6 preorders, and that its internal data showed preorders were matching \u201cour share of the console market.\u201d<\/p>\n
