The movie, like the graphic novel, is set in a futuristic totalitarian Britain where a young working class woman named Evey (Natalie Portman) encounters a masked freedom fighter known only as “V” (Hugo Weaving). Stephen Rea and John Hurt also star.

“The award-winning V for Vendetta graphic novel led to one of the most provocative films in the early 2000s. Fathom is thrilled to bring this great movie back to theatres, featuring an exclusive new conversation with director James McTeigue for a whole new generation of audiences,” said Shannah Miller, Vice President of Marketing at Fathom Entertainment in a statement.
