Sorry to be so blunt up top, but BMW\u2019s six new special edition M cars and three special edition M bikes dedicated to 100 years of the N\u00fcrburgring posit the simple notion of \u2018BMW But Green\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Still, it\u2019s a chance to look at a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.topgear.com\/car-reviews\/bmw\/m3-touring\" data-entity-type=\"node\" data-entity-uuid=\"8f9b7667-8b0a-47a1-b93a-66fc8c7ef7f3\" data-entity-substitution=\"canonical\" title=\"BMW M3 Touring\">BMW M3 Touring<\/a> in an exclusive \u201chistorical N\u00fcrburgring Green\u201d paint. And a chance to remember that like every other performance carmaker, BMW spends an inordinate amount of time lapping the Green Hell to make its cars firm and <em>schporty<\/em>. For better or worse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 klJNAL\">\n<p>There\u2019s more than just Green. A \u2018100 Years\u2019 logo, pointing to the N\u00fcrburgring\u2019s arrival in 1927 \u2013 1927! \u2013 \u2018N\u00fcrburgring since 1927\u2019 wording, and of course, the Nordschleife circuit silhouette, like the ones plastered to the back of every E46 M Sport 316i on Earth.<\/p>\n<p>Stripes happen. \u201cLight grey tones\u201d also. Contrast interior stitching. Alcantara steering wheels. Embroidered headrests. Kidney accents. <em>Wheel<\/em> accents [gasp]. And of course, all the goodies you get when you purchase a modern BMW M car, including straight-sixes, V8s, lots of horsepower, lots of weight and lots of slidey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div data-testid=\"HtmlContent\" class=\"MarkUpWrapper-sc-t20i90-0 klJNAL\">\n<p>Only 100 of each model \u2013 M2, M3 saloon, M3 Touring, M4, M5 saloon, M5 Touring \u2013 will be available, along with 100 versions of three BMW M bikes too, available to order later this month for delivery next year. No word on prices, nor how many are coming to the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, right. It\u2019s not just green. You can also get the special editions in black, too.
