The Rogue Crew was the only Redwall book to be published after his death, meaning that Orphans of Mossflower will be the second. It\u2019s unclear if any additions were made to the novel by his editors, or how far along it was at the time of his death \u2014 but we suspect we\u2019ll learn the answers to these questions when it gets closer to being released next year.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">For now, theories abound as to what adventures Mossflower&#8217;s creatures will get up to in this last novel. One hypothesis points to the winner of a 2010 contest who got to create a character that would appear in a future Redwall novel. We\u2019ll have to see where this story picks up in the final book when it\u2019s published a year from now.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">This news follows the sad cancellation of <a class=\"link jsx-1337145738 jsx-3925284146 underlined\" data-cy=\"styled-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/netflix-adapt-redwall-books-animated-movies-tv-series\">Netflix\u2019s Redwall series<\/a> earlier this year. The Rogue Crew was the only Redwall book to be published after his death, meaning that Orphans of Mossflower will be the second. It\u2019s unclear if any additions were made to the novel by his editors, or how far along it was at the time of his death \u2014 but we suspect we\u2019ll learn the answers to these questions when it gets closer to being released next year.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">For now, theories abound as to what adventures Mossflower&#8217;s creatures will get up to in this last novel. One hypothesis points to the winner of a 2010 contest who got to create a character that would appear in a future Redwall novel. We\u2019ll have to see where this story picks up in the final book when it\u2019s published a year from now.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">This news follows the sad cancellation of <a class=\"link jsx-1337145738 jsx-3925284146 underlined\" data-cy=\"styled-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ign.com\/articles\/netflix-adapt-redwall-books-animated-movies-tv-series\">Netflix\u2019s Redwall series<\/a> earlier this year.
