\n\tSir Idris Elba opened the night with the same spoken intro that led off Jay-Z\u2019s 2007 album American Gangster<\/em>, before Jay moved into a set spanning his catalog, from early cuts to career-defining hits. The night\u2019s guest turns gave it the same event-show energy as the Yankee Stadium run: DJ Khaled joined for \u201cGod Did\u201d alongside U.K. rapper Giggs, who also performed his own breakout single, \u201cTalking the Hardest.\u201d Later, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean surprised the crowd with a run of Fugees classics \u2014 \u201cReady or Not,\u201d \u201cKilling Me Softly\u201d and \u201cFu-Gee-La.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe show drew a heavy celebrity turnout, including David Beckham, Cynthia Erivo, Michael B. Jordan, Rick Rubin, Thomas Tuchel, Dave, Olivia Dean, AJ Odudu and Kano. <\/p>\n

\n\tJay-Z plays a second Tottenham Hotspur date Saturday (Sept. 5) before the tour continues to Paris\u2019s Stade de France on Sept. 10 and wraps with two shows at Los Angeles\u2019 SoFi Stadium in late October \u2014 additional dates added on top of the run\u2019s original schedule as demand grew.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
