suspended &#8211; and been fined 50,000 euros (\u00a343,000) for his part in a brawl following their Champions League play-off win at Lyon.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mason Greenwood, the Turkish side&#8217;s English striker, has been given a one-match suspended ban which, like part of Guendouzi&#8217;s, &#8220;is subject to a probationary period of one year&#8221; and has been fined 30,000 euros (\u00a326,000).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Lyon goalkeeping coach Antonio Ferreira has been handed a five-match ban, with two of those matches suspended, for what Uefa said<span class=\"visually-hidden ssrcss-i2z2ig-VisuallyHidden e16en2lz0\">, external<\/span> was &#8220;serious assault&#8221; following Fenerbahce&#8217;s win, which sent them through to the league stage with a 3-2 aggregate victory.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Guendouzi was punished for &#8220;insulting others present at the match, provoking spectators and for violating the basic rules of decent conduct&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Greenwood, who moved to Fenerbahce from Lyon&#8217;s fierce rivals Marseille in the summer, was penalised for &#8220;violating the basic rules of decent conduct&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Both clubs were also fined 50,000 euros for their teams &#8220;violating the general and basic rules of conduct&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Fenerbahce responded to the outcome, saying in a statement: &#8220;Our club is evaluating the decisions and reasoning behind them issued by Uefa through our legal departments, and will pursue the necessary arbitration and appeal processes to the Uefa appeals for Marseille between 2021 and 2024, was repeatedly booed by Lyon supporters during the match.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He appeared to taunt sections of the French home support following Fenerbahce&#8217;s victory and team-mates ushered him away as tempers flared.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">After the scuffle at full-time, Guendouzi was seen shouting &#8220;Allez l&#8217;OM&#8221; towards a pitchside camera, referencing Marseille.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Video circulating on social media also appeared to show an individual wearing a Lyon kit confronting the France midfielder as he made his way towards the tunnel, with security staff and members of both teams getting involved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A melee then broke out in the tunnel between both teams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Speaking after the game to reporters, Guendouzi said he felt &#8220;disrespected&#8221; by Lyon fans who were taunting him with &#8220;insults&#8221; about his family.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;If we can&#8217;t celebrate the way we want afterward, I find that disappointing,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;When you have 60,000 people insulting your family, your mother, your children, even before the game and no-one on the referee&#8217;s side tells the crowd to be quiet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I know that in France, when this kind of thing happens, there comes a point where they&#8217;ll talk to the fans to stop and maybe stop the match.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div
