the past week, players and TV pundits alike have called for tweaks to be made to the sport. He narrowly missed the courtside chair and then fell to the floor, before taking in the crowd\u2019s adulation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>On the latest episode of <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Q2LplopQhng\" target=\"_blank\">Nothing Major<\/a>, John Isner called it the best shot of this year\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/us-open\">US Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 41-year-old said,\u00a0\u201cTommy Paul wins in four sets and also in route hit the shot of the tournament. I think we can all agree with that sliding forehand around the net post. That\u2019s the singles net post, right? A lot of times in regular tournaments, they don\u2019t have those singles net posts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This prompted former world No 21 Johnson to call for tournament organisers to solely use singles-only nets in both singles and doubles.<\/p>\n<p>He said, \u201cI want this in all singles matches at the big events. Give us the singles-only net. I want those nets to be played with doubles as well, quite frankly. I want to see more chaos. That\u2019s a whole other point. I want to see more. I want to see more on the net post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a bit dangerous on that side where he did it. He hits the bench but Tommy\u2019s an athlete. Hits the winner, kind of recognises where he\u2019s at.
