Adria Arjona has a diverse resume, but she\u2019s made the most impact in action movies\u2014including the current Onslaught<\/em> and the upcoming DC Studios film Man of Tomorrow<\/em>. So it\u2019s a little surprising to look back over her time on the Star Wars<\/em> TV show Andor<\/em> and realize we don\u2019t get to see her character, resistance fighter Bix, carrying out many of the missions that propel her beliefs.<\/p>\n

Asked about this in a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Arjona explained why Andor<\/em> creator Tony Gilroy chose to have most of Bix\u2019s missions occur offscreen.<\/p>\n

\u201cTony challenged me in a different way,\u201d she said. \u201cHe instead gave me periods of time in Bix\u2019s life to jump into that were very complex and complicated. I knew that I was able to play an action piece, but those emotional beats were really strong for Bix and really challenging for me. So I wasn\u2019t necessarily frustrated because I respect Tony\u2019s writing. I was like, Hmm<\/i>.\u00a0Okay, cool.\u00a0<\/i>There\u2019s a reason and a rhythm to the way that he writes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since Bix survived the events of Andor<\/em> and doesn\u2019t appear in Rogue One<\/em>, which took out pretty much everyone else, Arjona can look forward to continually being asked if her character might one day pop back up in the galaxy far, far away. She\u2019s already said elsewhere that she\u2019d be up for it given the right context and creative team.<\/p>\n

To THR, she reiterated that Gilroy\u2019s involvement would be key\u2014and that she doesn\u2019t think rushing into an Andor<\/em> follow-up would be wise.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Tony Gilroy is in, I\u2019m right there with him,\u201d she said. \u201cI respect so much what he\u2019s created, and I love him so dearly that I don\u2019t want to put my fingerprints on it. It might be too soon. I don\u2019t want to say never<\/i>, but I love the way he ended that show. I respect it, so I want to keep it like that for now.\u201d<\/p>\n
