But we are the target of hybrid attacks on a daily basis.\u201d Germany has also raised its threat level from \u201cgeneral\u201d to \u201chigh\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Malign actions\u2019<\/strong>: NATO secretary-general Mark Rutte said that the evidence pointing to Russia was \u201cclear\u201d, adding that the Alliance would \u201cstrengthen (its) ability to deter and defend Allies against any threat \u2013 including malign actions like those seen in Leipzig\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VDL pledges response<\/strong>: European Commission chief <strong>Ursula von der Leyen<\/strong> also <strong>promised<\/strong> a &#8220;clear response\u201d. Over 1,600 companies and individuals are on a draft list under discussion, but the number is likely to go up in light of Berlin\u2019s announcement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pressure for Patriots<\/strong>: Support for Ukraine will also be high on the agenda. Member states are scrambling to find ways to provide Kyiv with the air defence systems it desperately needs to repel Russia\u2019s growing waves of ballistic missiles. Kallas says there is \u201cno concrete success\u201d yet in convincing Greece and Spain to donate their Patriot interceptors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Zelenskyy\u2019s warning:<\/strong> Meanwhile, in a statement made last night, President Zelenskyy issued a <strong>direct warning<\/strong> to \u201cevery airline\u201d that \u201cRussian airspace will effectively be closing\u201d due to Ukrainian drone operations.
