Party and Patriots for Europe are accusing Pedro S\u00e1nchez of abandoning the Spanish exclave, as a press report suggests the mass entry incident was guided by Moroccan security forces.<br \/>\n    <\/h2>\n<div class=\"c-article-content js-article-content\">\n<p>Around 500 people gathered in front of the European Parliament in Brussels on Wednesday to protest against the Spanish government\u2019s handling of the crisis in Ceuta, where several thousand of more than 70,000 migrants who arrived in the exclave on 30 July remain.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div class=\"c-ad u-show-for-mobile-only\">\n<div class=\"c-ad__placeholder\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"c-ad__placeholder__logo\" src=\"https:\/\/static.euronews.com\/website\/images\/logos\/logo-euronews-stacked-outlined-72x72-grey-9.svg\" width=\"72\" height=\"72\" alt front of Parliament, waving the flags of Ceuta and Spain, and accusing Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S\u00e1nchez of failing to defend Spain\u2019s territorial integrity and sovereignty.<\/p>\n<p>Two separate demonstrations were launched by Spain\u2019s Popular Party and Vox in Brussels on Ceuta Day. Despite being organised separately, both gatherings took place at the same time and in the same location, with EPP and PfE lawmakers standing side by side.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cS\u00e1nchez has handed over responsibility for the security of Ceuta to a third country,\u201d EPP vice-president Dolors Montserrat told reporters, claiming the Spanish Prime Minister \u201cis bowing\u201d to Morocco.<\/p>\n<p>Online newspaper El Espa\u00f1ol reported on Wednesday that Spain&#8217;s National Centre for Immigration and Borders (CENIF) had concluded the incident &#8220;was guided by Moroccan security forces&#8221;, contradicting S\u00e1nchez\u2019s stance that there is no proof of any involvement by the authorities in Rabat.<\/p>\n<p>Madrid has so far avoided publicly blaming Rabat for the incident. It generally considers Morocco a cooperative partner in migration management.<\/p>\n<p>Spanish Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska asked police chief Francisco Pardo to verify the information, which CENIF reportedly sent to a judge gathering information on the incident, according to ministry sources.<\/p>\n<p>Vox, the leading Spanish far-right party, claims S\u00e1nchez has \u201cbetrayed\u201d his own country and is pushing to activate Article 102 of the Spanish Constitution, which would trigger a criminal trial against the prime minister and his cabinet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe situation is untenable. This government cannot continue to lead Spain,\u201d Vox MEP Jorge Buxad\u00e9 Villalba told reporters, claiming this is the \u201chardest hour\u201d for the country since the Catalan attempted
