SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 Stephen Curry can sign a contract extension with the Golden State Warriors whenever he wants. The window to do so opened Saturday. As one of the most famous people on the planet, the 38-year-old superstar will continue to find himself in the spotlight as questions about his NBA future hover in the distance.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, he spoke at an event on the University of San Francisco\u2019s campus. On Monday, he was at a golf tournament that benefits his family\u2019s Eat.Learn.Play Foundation. Later this month, he\u2019ll tour China to promote his new shoes with footwear brand Li-Ning. The spotlight is always on Curry, and he doesn\u2019t shy away from it given that he is one of the universally beloved pitchmen in the game and has plenty of causes he likes to highlight.<\/p>\n

In the midst of discussing some of those, Curry was asked about the looming extension, and he reiterated what he has said for years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no question I want to be here the rest of my career,\u201d Curry told NBC Sports Bay Area.<\/a> \u201cAnd I\u2019m pretty sure that\u2019s going to happen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe deal and the contract stuff will happen at the right time,\u201d he added, \u201cand we\u2019re not letting it be a distraction from our preparation for the season and the fact that the team we\u2019re coming back with has a lot of familiarity.\u201d<\/p>\n
