One of the biggest questions I’ve always had about Pok\u00e9mon (and I have quite a few) is this: what is it actually like inside a Pok\u00e9ball? <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

If memory serves correctly, the Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> anime series has occasionally shown a Pok\u00e9ball’s interior, with a miniaturized creature lounging inside. But I’ve always wondered how comfortable this is, and what if a Pok\u00e9mon is claustrophobic? And why aren’t there any windows?<\/p>\n

Despite all of this, if someone told me I could go experience what living inside a Pok\u00e9ball was like, I’d still likely take them up on the offer. And this is why I’m particularly intrigued by an upcoming collaboration between nap-tracking app Pok\u00e9mon Sleep and the luxury Japanese hospitality firm Not a Hotel.<\/p>\n

In a nutshell: you will be able to sleep inside a Pok\u00e9ball soon. <\/p>\n

A trailer for the experience reveals a giant spherical pod shaped like a half-open Pok\u00e9ball, with its floor space largely taken up by a generous-sized spherical bed. And, yes, there is a window \u2014 though no curtains that I can see. <\/p>\n

If you’re intrigued to roleplay as a Pok\u00e9mon and clamber inside a giant ball, then you’ll want to keep an eye on the upcoming lottery (of course there’s a lottery) on September 15 to secure your spot. You’ll also need to travel to Hokkaido, Japan, where the Pok\u00e9ball pod will be located, so do bear that in mind. <\/p>\n

Prefer your bed without a giant perspex window, and also in your own house? That’s fine too. And you’ll have plenty of Pok\u00e9balls to throw in the next major entries in the Pok\u00e9mon series, with Pok\u00e9mon Winds and Waves<\/a> on the way next year.<\/p>\n
