At the Bretagne Classic on Sunday, riders in the lead group took things into their own hands when they encountered a fan riding on the closed course.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aspect-video\">\n<p>Riding in the lead group of six, Liam Slock (Lotto-Intermarch\u00e9) and Benjamin Thomas (Cofidis) both had the same idea, grabbing a bottle and spraying the offending fan as they passed by. Whether it was water or a far less pleasant sticky drink mix we\u2019re not sure. Either way the fan should have gotten the message loud and clear: stop riding.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily the small group was able to navigate around the course invader, but things could have turned out worse had it been a full peloton.
