--><\/p>\n<p>Tim Henman and Marion Bartoli have expressed concern for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/novak-djokovic\">Novak Djokovic<\/a> after the legendary Serb\u2019s body broke down in his shock 2026 US Open exit.<\/p>\n<p>Djokovic was upset 7-6(5), 5-7, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 by 49th-ranked Mariano Navone in the first round of the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old tennis icon was visibly suffering in the latter stages of a contest lasting four hours and 36 minutes in Arthur Ashe Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The 24-time major champion admitted afterwards that he is dealing with a \u201cserious\u201d physical issue and revealed his \u201cwhole body\u201d collapsed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s something that I\u2019ve been carrying, unfortunately, pretty much every match this year: vomiting, throwing up, a serious issue there,\u201d Djokovic explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen my whole body starts to collapse, cramping and pain. Djokovic wasn\u2019t feeling well out on court,\u201d said the former world No 4.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe gave it his absolute all to find a way through the match. When he was up two sets to one with a break in the fourth, you thought he could.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut he was vomiting on the court and didn\u2019t have the energy. Navone kept on fighting and, with youth on his side, he ran away with the fourth and fifth set.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis mentality and will to win is still good enough [to win titles], but when you see the physical challenges of being 39 and what his body is going through and trying to find solutions \u2014 it\u2019s tough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you hear him saying he \u2018despised being out there\u2019, that\u2019s awful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m sure he will go away and assess things because that\u2019s not the way we want to see Djokovic depart any tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Marion Bartoli, who won Wimbledon in 2013, described Djokovic\u2019s struggles as \u201cheartbreaking\u201d and \u201cworrying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was so sad to watch. To see him suffer that much was heartbreaking,\u201d said the former world No 7.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe way he was physically suffering is worrying.
