I feel like I\u2019ve entered the brick-and-mortar version of the world that Paul (until very recently Paige Lorenze) works hard to curate on social media: a peaceful East Coast farm life, where coziness abounds and serenity is just one home-cooked garden meal away. That work has built her an audience of nearly 2.5 million combined across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and taken her from influencer to entrepreneur, as the founder of a preppy Americana lifestyle brand all her own.<\/p>\n<p>For our interview, Paul is all dewy skin and simple makeup, wearing a tailored white button-up shirt and baggy low-rise denim. It\u2019s been just three weeks since her July 14 wedding to professional tennis player Tommy Paul, held at Old Westbury Gardens in Long Island. Maybe Paul\u2019s glow can be attributed to the microneedling and lymphatic facials she\u2019d been doing in preparation, or maybe it\u2019s the result of her unfailing commitment to SPF, which began years before her engagement last summer. \u201cMy biggest beauty tip is keeping my face out of the sun and hydrating,\u201d she says, conceding that she\u2019s not totally immune to the siren call of UV rays. \u201cI get it on my body because I need it. But the wrench of reality helped her put the big day into perspective. \u201cIt was weirdly a pressure reliever. I feel like all of the work that I\u2019ve done for the past 10 years has accumulated to this point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s not exaggerating when she says it\u2019s been a decade. Her social media career took off when she was a college student, living in New York while studying at Parsons School of Design. In 2020, she started posting on YouTube and gaining momentum as an influencer while <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/paige-lorenze-dating-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"T3D\">the tabloids <\/a>kept up with her starry personal life. I built all those things. It\u2019s true to who I am, but that\u2019s not to say that it\u2019s not a lot of work.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"rs0 Dhu\"><p>\u201cI avoid having larger conversations online because there\u2019s no conversation anymore. Paul\u2019s screen time is lower than her husband\u2019s, she says \u2014 \u201cI think people would be shocked by it\u201d \u2014 and she avoids TikTok whenever she can. \u201cIt\u2019s my least favorite platform. I think that it can be very damaging,\u201d she says. \u201cPut it this way: I\u2019m not letting my kids have a TikTok. I\u2019m honestly probably not going to let my kids have social media until they\u2019re like 16. I\u2019m giving them BlackBerrys. I wish I could use a BlackBerry, to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul credits this mentality with a strong sense of self, and a craving for nuance in a world of endless hot takes. \u201cI know who I am and the life I want to live,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m so rooted in my everyday real life and real people that I can realize that social media is just social media. If you know me, I have very strong opinions about things, and I support and have constant conversations with people in my community. I generally avoid having larger conversations online because there\u2019s no conversation anymore. In late July, Paul found herself embroiled in some surprising Nantucket island drama, originating \u2014 of all places \u2014 from a local antiques and crafts shop a few blocks away from her Dairy Boy store. \u201cThe root of it all is really hysterical. It\u2019s like Dairy Boy versus baskets,\u201d she says, amused. When Four Winds Craft Guild posted a \u201cNo Influencers\u201d sign that went viral two months after she\u2019d opened the doors to her shop around the corner, she initially laughed at the irony. \u201cThe store was influencing with their \u2018No Influencer\u2019 sign. I actually do think they were making a joke. I never thought that the sign was 100% serious,\u201d she says. \u201cBut I was sort of like, when it\u2019s an industry full of women, what\u2019s the punchline of this joke?\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"rs0 Dhu\"><p>\u201cIt\u2019s so much easier to think \u2018They\u2019re all jealous and they\u2019re all wrong.\u2019 But staying open to criticism and love is important.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"sWr iGR CEt\">\n<figure class=\"Qf5 E1M\">\n<div style=\"padding-top:125.0305%\" class=\"vmZ F8Y ap2\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/imgix.bustle.com\/uploads\/image\/2026\/8\/28\/07024859\/081426_nylon_paige_shot_2_0401edit-alt.jpg?w=375&amp;h=469&amp;fit=crop&amp;crop=faces&amp;dpr=2\" alt class=\"EdX\"><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Paul <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/26\/celebrity-news\/tennis-star-tommy-pauls-wife-goes-on-lengthy-rant-against-nantucket-store-with-no-influencers-sign\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"T3D\">posted a comment<\/a> on the shop\u2019s Instagram, challenging them to consider their criticism of a profession that has \u201cgiven some women a lot of economic power,\u201d she tells me. \u201cI\u2019m good with being the spokesperson for this amazing industry that has completely flipped marketing upside down.\u201d She agrees content creators should be mindful in public and retail spaces. \u201cI\u2019m sure there are people who have been obnoxious. If you\u2019re not acting with respect in stores, act respectfully,\u201d she says. But still: \u201cI don\u2019t think that\u2019s why they put up the sign.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paul understands that her Dairy Boy store may be an adjustment for older locals on the island \u2014 a social-led brand attracting Gen Z customers who are willing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@daysoncapecod\/video\/7667762551341518111\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"T3D\">wait in lines down the block<\/a>. \u201cI think that people don\u2019t understand what it means to have a community online and how powerful that is,\u201d she says. Still, as someone who has been coming to Nantucket since she was 6 years old \u2014 a native New Englander, she grew up in Connecticut, not far from her current residence, and went to boarding school in Vermont \u2014 she gets frustrated by the insinuation that she is an outsider trying to fundamentally change the place. \u201cThe store is a love letter to the island. Nantucket has literally made me who I am,\u201d she says. But I feel like now the brand is big enough and I\u2019ve done enough work where I don\u2019t need to prove anything to anyone,\u201d she says. \u201cI\u2019m grateful to be a part of conversations where people agree or disagree because it means that I\u2019ve built something that\u2019s worth talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019s also just older and wiser. \u201cWhen you\u2019ve been in the public eye for as long as I have, because you\u2019re constantly subjected to good and bad opinions about your life, there can be a point where you\u2019re criticized so much that you become almost defensive about your flaws,\u201d she says. \u201cYou don\u2019t want to admit that you f*cked something up because you\u2019re already getting that so much from other people, so you can get in denial about things you\u2019re wrong about or need to work on.
