“Investigations \u200cinto the exact \u200ccircumstances \u200bof the incident, as well as its \u200bbackground and possible motive, are currently \u2060underway. \u200bAt this \u200bstage, it is \u200bassumed that \u200ca single perpetrator was involved,” \u200bpolice \u2060in the canton \u2060of \u200bAargau said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Police added that the suspect was arrested on “strong suspicion” of being behind the attack.<\/p>\n

At least five others were injured in the attack, some seriously.<\/p>\n

Investigators found two kinds of cartridges at the scene, indicating the presence of a pistol and a large weapon, possibly an assault rifle.<\/p>\n

The suspect was apprehended after a major manhunt, which also involved police from neighboring Germany.<\/p>\n
