What is confirmed is that both roles are recurring rather than one-off appearances, adding two recognizable names to a cast that has been filling out steadily.<\/p>\n<p>Andr\u00e9 3000 brings a deep acting r\u00e9sum\u00e9 to the project beyond his music career, with credits spanning the Jimi Hendrix biopic <em>Jimi: All Is By My Side, Idlewild, Four Brothers<\/em> and <em>Be Cool<\/em>, plus television work including <em>The Shield<\/em> and <em>American Crime<\/em> and his own Cartoon Network series <em>Class of 3000.<\/em> His casting also carries a quiet franchise connection: as OutKast, he and Big Boi contributed the track \u201cLand of a Million Drums\u201d to the 2002 <em>Scooby-Doo<\/em> film\u2019s soundtrack.\n<\/p>\n<p>The pair join a previously announced lineup fronting the reimagined origin story: Mckenna Grace as Daphne Blake, Tanner Hagen as Norville \u201cShaggy\u201d Rogers, Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma Dinkley and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred Jones. Per the official logline, \u201cDuring their final summer at camp, old friends Shaggy (Hagen) and Daphne (Grace) get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder,\u201d setting the group on a case that threatens to expose each of their secrets. Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg wrote the series and serve as showrunners and executive producers under their Midnight Radio banner, with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter among the executive producers via Berlanti Productions, and the show produced with Warner Bros.
