Lego\u2019s Super Mario range has been one of the biggest surprises of the last few years. What initially looked like a gimmicky Lego<\/a> theme has grown \u2014 like Mario after chomping a mushroom \u2014 into a hugely fun and innovative collection that captures all the retro magic of Nintendo<\/a> games.<\/p>\n

Now, Lego has reimagined its entire range with a batch of 2027 sets that include a new selection of minifigures. This is the first time that minifigures have featured in the Super Mario range \u2014 an exciting debut for collectors.<\/p>\n

Moving away from the interactive, app-based play of previous sets, these new builds focus on classic Lego construction and role-play fun. These sets, recently revealed at the gamescom trade show in Cologne, are based on characters and environments from the Super Mario and Mario Kart universes.<\/p>\n

The new sets include Mario’s Pipe Jump (72052), which has the first-time-ever classic Super Mario minifigure and a Goomba. It has a built-in lever for catapulting the Goomba. You can also get a first-ever Yoshi minifigure with Yoshi at Mario’s House (72057).<\/p>\n

Luigi arrives with added firepower in the Fire Luigi vs. Koopa Troopa Battle (72061) set, with a cannon for shooting Luigi into a Koopa Troopa. You can even take Mario surfing with Mario\u2019s Beach Adventures (72055).<\/p>\n

There\u2019s Racing with Mario (72054), based on the much-loved Mario Kart. The set includes obstacles from the game \u2014 including a banana skin and shells \u2014 and the kart has a built-in launcher to fire those shells.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There are other Mario Kart-themed sets, too: Luigi & Bowser Jr.’s Race (72056) \u2014 with minifigures of Luigi and Bowser Jr. in their karts \u2014 and Bowser’s Rumbling Race (72058), featuring Bowser and Toad minifigures.<\/p>\n

But the big showpiece of this new selection is the 850-piece Fire Mario & Bowser’s Castle (72060), a fortress model that comes with Fire Mario, Bowser, and Peach, recreating Mario’s classic princess rescue from the OG Nintendo game.<\/p>\n

These all-new Lego Super Mario sets will be available from Lego.com<\/u><\/a> and Lego stores from Jan. 1, 2027. They are priced as follows:<\/p>\n
