\n\tOut Friday (Aug. 28), the Madeon edit brings airy spaciousness to the original, before the French producer takes the song to the bubblegum stratosphere with a shimmering, soaring and early 2010s-style build\/release that\u2019s signature Madeon and total bliss. \n\tIn a post announcing the project, the pair shared a screenshot of a text exchange, with Madeon saying that \u201cI took some sounds from my early FL projects to honor the era you\u2019re talking about,\u201d with Ninajirachi\u2019s lyrics referencing downloading the DAW FL Studio. Madeon continued that he also \u201cadded a verse with my own memories\u201d and noted that this is his first official remix since 2012, a sentiment to which Ninajirachi responded \u201cOmg im freaking out this is so amazing.\u201d The post also includes vintage photos of each artist as musically inclined children.<\/p>\n

\n\tNinajirachi also recently worked with Madeon\u2019s friend and collaborator Porter Robinson on the July single \u201cWannaCry.\u201d Meanwhile, Madeon released his first studio album in seven years, Victory<\/em>, in late June. Of the project he told Billboard<\/em>, \u201cThere was something a little rebellious about it, and that was appealing. I often say the number one sin of an artist is to be boring and to give people what they think they want, and I think you can recede into the background of people\u2019s consciousness if you just pander. Because of the length of my career, I felt like I had earned the right to be risky, and I wanted to feel courageous, even if it meant risking everything going down in flames. That was appealing to me.\u201d<\/p>\n
